Framing embroidery in a hoop to display your craftsmanship is consist of few major steps such as managing embroidery, cutting back felt, putting cross stitches in the hoop, gathering the fabric and applying the felt backing. The first and the foremost step is to manage cleanness of your embroidery before framing into it in hoop. One should wash their hand properly in order to remove oil and dust particles to make your embroidery clean. Going further, one should separate the frame which is going to be used for framing. A ring should be placed on a piece of felt, meanwhile, the ring should be traced with a pen around outside of the ring. Putting cross stitch is the major step of the process which should be performed with the more attention.

Place the inner ring of the hoop on a flat surface to lay down stitch face up on top of the ring. Then, embroidery design should be placed on center and outer ring should be placed on top. This should be done with more carefully to position design correctly. After positioning the design fabric should be pulled taut keeping in mind not to distort the design. One should tighten the screw on the hoop as well. Excessive fabric around the hoop with the margin of 1-1/2 inch should be trimmed in a circle. Next step is to sew a running stitch around the circle about ¼ inch in from the edges of the fabric. Finally, one should stitch the felt circle on the backside of the hoop in order to apply the felt backing perfectly.
